DESCRIPTION:How to Create a Sustainable, Locally-led Main Street\nMissouri community members and stakeholders interested in revitalizing their historic commercial district should attend one of the Community Empowerment Grant Workshops in 2026. Through the workshop, stakeholders will learn about the time-tested Main Street principles for downtown revitalization and the 70/30 matching service grant offered by Missouri Main Street Connection. This grant provides services that assist in the establishment of a locally-led 501c3 nonprofit Main Street organization to lead volunteers in implementing downtown revitalization through the Four Points of the Main Street Approach™ in their historic commercial district.\nWorkshop take aways:\n\nThe Main Street philosophy of revitalization\nHow to successfully apply for the grant.\nApplication materials and deadlines\n\nLunch and Learn – $15 (Optional)\nStay for the additional Lunch and Learn following the workshop from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. During this lunch, an experienced Main Street representative will share success stories from their time as a Main Street Director.
