Missouri Main Street Connection will present the next Mornings on Main Webinar “Small Business Saturday Matters for Your Main Street District” on October 2nd at 8:30 AM.
Small Business Saturday has been an ongoing tradition over the past 14 years. As this tradition continues, innovation is needed to attract people downtown to shop. Join our panel in exploring their past activities and discover strategies to reinvigorate the tradition of shopping locally on Small Business Saturday.
Dream big for your historic commercial district as you hear about the “Sweetest Street Sweepstake” from the winner of the 2022 Small Business Neighborhood Champion Innovation Contest: Sweetwater Main Street, community lottery scratchers from Downtown Washington, Inc., and promotional activities by Downtown Joplin Alliance. These activities promote the economic vitality of Main Street while providing fun opportunities for locals and visitors to spend time together.

Tyler King, Downtown Washington, Inc.
Tyler King currently serves as the Executive Director for Downtown Washington, Inc. and the Historic Washington Foundation in Washington, MO. King has a background in marketing, management, and real estate with leading skills in non-profit fundraising, inclusive team building, and public speaking. Mr. King has more than 13 years’ experience in event planning, community relations, media relations, marketing, management, and holds a real estate salesperson license. He currently leads Downtown Washington, Inc.’s Four Point Committees: Design, Promotion, Organization, and Economic Vitality; sits on the Washington Historic Preservation Commission as a liaison, acting member of the Washington TIF Commission, the Washington Tourism Commission, and is chair for the Washington Core Reconstructing Committee.
Lori Haun, Downtown Joplin Alliance
Lori Haun is the Executive Director of Downtown Joplin Alliance. She and her husband live in an 1891 Victorian home just outside of downtown with two teenage boys. Lori and her family travel frequently where she is always looking for ideas to bring back to Joplin. With a background of interior design and construction oversight, she has over 20 years experience in management and sales. As a developer and owner of historic downtown properties, Lori has first hand insight into the complex process of historic renovations and historic tax credits. This has served her well as she works within the Main Street model with downtown businesses and property owners. Lori served as President of Downtown Joplin Alliance before stepping in as Executive Director. She also serves on the Historic Preservation Commission, Capital Improvements Oversight Commission, Chamber of Commerce board, and Connect2Culture.
Hayley Isbill, Sweetwater Main Street
Hayley Isbill is the passionate Tourism Director for the City of Sweetwater, Tennessee and is dedicated to enhancing the visitor experience by partnering with local businesses and community organizations. She has a special passion for small business success and grew up on Sweetwater Main Street, where her family owned a small business for many decades. Outside of work, Hayley enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, running, and pickle ball. She and her husband Wes have been married for 15 years and have three daughters that keep them on-the-go at all times.
