MMSC provides communities with the knowledge and tools to revitalize their historic districts economically and physically. As the coordinating Main Street program, with Main Street America, we collaborate with local stakeholders to assist with their initiatives to revitalize their downtown district. Through this assistance, historic districts continue to be essential elements of their communities and local and state economies as valuable cultural assets.

Revitalization supports economic development and job growth within the context of historic preservation. The purpose of the local and statewide Main Street programs is to ensure the long-term success of downtowns by supporting, educating, training, and empowering revitalization organizations that are comprehensive, professional, and volunteer-based.

Missouri Main Street Connection accepts award nominations yearly for its annual Missouri’s Premier Downtown Revitalization Conference. Main Street organizations in good standing with their agreement with Missouri Main Street Connection are eligible to submit nominations.
Awards nominations for the 2025 Missouri’s Premier Downtown Revitalization Conference will open in early 2025. Stay tuned for announcements from MMSC.
